We are a duo of Photographers and video-artits based in Paris.

(36 photographs, 42 dried flowers, 3 videos, 14 drawings, 2008-2012) This series of large-scale images finds its origins in the beginnings of photography, when Louis Daguerre’s «Boulevard du Temple» photograph from 1838, showed an apparently empty street where only a shoe-shine was visible. The exposure lenght 3-5 hours long allows only immobile elements to appear on the photograph. Human activity disappears. The images are then recomposed, reworked bringing together two technological periods of Photography’s History. Our intention in this project was to merge what exists and what imagination projects on our world. An inner and silent representation of our world.

Scènes de vie

(10 videos, 2008-2010) Living Images looks at the cycle of life through filmed portraits and landscapes looped in an infinite movement. In 2009, we realized the portrait of Lucie’s grandmother in her last days. During that day, she evoked memories she wanted to take with her to the afterlife. In the two following years, we wanted to return to these places in order to enclose them in an image that could be both alive and eternal. Living images thus questions the nature of images exploring the areas of encounter between still and moving images, between Photography and Video. Thus treating of the ineffable border between reality and the universe of dreams, and this invisible thread connecting us to the impalpable sphere of the world of the dead.

In search of Eternity II

(1 video, 19 stills, 2011-2013) In search of Eternity takes the form of a poetic journey through life and human activity inspired by a Native American Sioux belief that the spirit of the dead would continue to float between Earth and the Sky. Thus appear another Reality and another perception of Time, allowing the camera to plunge into the souls as a spirit in the midst of men.
